I am a beginner at learning Russian. I would love to become fluent. I am also taking Russian as my foreign language credit in College. I will be in the fourth semester in spring. I am 35 years old and great fun to be around.
I am getting better at translating and I can tell the differentiati on between words now. My main problem is trying to remember what I learned the first year. I had a three year break from Russian. So, I need to brush up on grammer, such as dative case, nominative case, accusative case, all the other cases, etc. My goal is to become fluent.
In school, we are using the book Golosa. I would like to continue learning with this book if possible. I also have Òðîèêà.

i would love to learn scottish gaelic, though my background is in french and spanish. i studied for a while on my own from a workbook and on bbc alba but would still consider myself a beginner. i would be willing to dedicate a few hours each week, apart from study time on lessons. i'm looking for someone who can teach me to read, write, and converse proficiently and would prefer someone with knowledge of the language's context in scottish culture, both historical and contemporary.

I am a beginner Mandarin learner, who has spent some time in China. I want to open a school/orphan age in China within the next 5-10 years and language proficiency is necessary. Within the next 6 months to 1 years I would like to see just how far I can push myself in learning Mandarin. I would like to meet for 1-hour sessions 2-3 time a week and then spend a lot of time studying on my own. I am looking for a teacher that is capable of providing both short and long-term goals that can challenge me as a student. I am a teacher and can adapt to multiple teaching strategies, but I also realize that I visual learner and am looking for a teacher who can use that to help me learn the language. I will make time for homework and extra research and will do whatever it takes to become fluent in this language.

I would like to take Portuguese lessons at a beginning level. I've been meaning to do this for some time, since I have family in both Brazil and Portugal, and no ability to converse with them if I were to visit. Most of my Portuguese-sp eaking family also speaks English, but I think that to travel the world expecting everyone to understand English is an unrealistic, lazy mentality. I think that to know multiple languages is to possess valuable tools. I want to visit Portugal this summer, and want to have a basic grasp of the language by then. I am willing to work hard. I'd like to take lessons once or twice a week.
