Hi, sir or madam,
I learned some Amharic vocabulary in 97 when I visited Ethiopia. At that time I phonetically learned the alphabet though I've forgotten most of it. I would like to meet someone weekly or every two weeks to learn the language. I would like to learn to read and write it but conversation is the priority. Please contact me through this website. I have no knowledge of the Amharic language, but am traveling to Ethiopia in the end of June and would love to learn some basic phrases. The cost of lessons will determine how much time I can dedicate. Ideally it would be 2-4 hours per week depending upon my rate of learnig. I would prefer a native ethiopian with lots of patience. I am a beginner to the Amharic Language. But... I have lived with a family of Ethiopians for about 8 years now. My husband is from Ethiopia. We plan to travel to Ethiopia maybe next year 2005.
