I want to learn this language because I want to do an exchange program in the near future and I would like to know how to communicate with others. I am a beginner to the Japanese language. I need inprovement in all areas of speech, and I will dedicate as much time as posible to learn this language. I would love for my teacher to be a native to Japan and know different types of teaching styles. I would also like my teacher to be fun and outgoing and not too up tight.

Hello,
I am interested in learning Japanese in Austin, TX. I have no experience with the language so I am definately a beginner. I do not need it for a degree, I just want to learn for my own personal growth. I would like to visit Tokyo one day, and it would be nice if I could speak the language. Since I work during the day, I need evening classes. I have no preferance on what days during the week the lessons are taught.I am looking for a teacher that is knowledgeable in the subject matter.

I am an avid traveler and I like to learn the basics of the native language in the countries that I visit. I am also interested in language in general, so I want to take my learning beyond the phrasebook level. I am always interested in reading and writing, as well as speaking.
My proficiencies are as follows:
A rabic - no experience
Manadarin - recognize some kanji, but don't know Chinese readings
J apanese - can read and write just a little, speaking is intermediate and listening is a little better than that; I would really like to improve reading and grammar
Fr ench - listening or reading, I can understand most things; my speaking is not as sharp, so I'd like to improve that and vocabulary
