I am a beginner, no background of Korean whatsoever. I want to learn so I can acknowlege another language. Learning how to speak is idealy my main goal. If I get lessons, they would be once a week. Lessons should be around an hour to an hour and a half. Teacher must speak English or Chinese and of course, Korean.

I am an older English teacher who has just arrived in Masan from Canada to teach at 2 elementary schools for one year. I have studied the Hangeul system and numbers, but I would like to learn the grammar and some sentence structures in order to converse properly with the people around me. I work Monday-Friday , 0830 to 1630. after that, my time is open. I don't understand Korean at all, but I am very motivated and would like to learn as quickly as possible. Because I am in a Korean immersion situation here, I think I would get a lot of reinforcement from my students and colleagues for any efforts I make in the language. I have a Berlitz Korean/Englis h dictionary, a level one Korean grammar text, and a thin book of survival Korean sentences for tourists.
I am looking for a teacher who can offer me a systematic approach to learning the grammar, so that I build up the language from simple to complex and soon create sentences useful in every day conversations . I also need practice in reading Hanguel, developing a vocabulary, and insights into the culture and history of this very interesting country. I am a serious learner, and I am willing to dedicate whatever time it takes to accomplish my goals. If there is anyone in Masan willing to take me on, I would be grateful. Thanks.
