Description |
My name is Dustin Rogers and I am interested in learning Irish Gaelic. I speak fluent english and I am a musician at heart. I am enrolled for the Art Institute of Vancouver's Professional Recording arts program in July of 2008, and one might say that I intend on encorporating the Gaelic language into my music and possibly into my music business in the near future. My motives for wanting to learn Gaelic stem from a rather personal level. My heritage is Irish and I intend on travelling to Ireland in the near future. I also plan on possibly contacting distant relatives living in Ireland in hopes of 'digging up my past' and understanding the Gaelic language may be key for doing this. Otherwise, an understanding of this ancient language will further my interest in ancient Celtic culture. I hope to dedicate one day per week to studies via the internet (e-mail, websites, instant messaging, etc.), or over the phone. I would like a teacher that is well versed in the language and that is able to tutor via my methods of communication . Also, I would find it important that my teacher enjoys instructing me, and is able to have fun while doing so.
Regard s, Dustin Rogers.

Description |
I have always enjoyed studying and learning. I have no material reason for learning Russian (job, relationship etc.). I am challenging myself to learn this language to expand my horizons and hopefully be able to read some of my favorite literature in the original Russian.
Wandering through the Hermitage is on my travel list. A trip to St. Petersburg would only be enhanced if I had a good grasp of the language. I may be able to make friends in the Russian community as well.

Description |
Hey there,
I am sorry to trouble you with this email. My best friend passed away this morning and on his arms he had latin words tattooed on him. He has told me one thousand times what they said but for the life of me I could never remember. His family has asked me what they mean as they never asked him. I am just looking for the translation. I am pretty sure it goes along the lines of 'I mourn for wanting you, I rejoice for 'blank' ' But I could be wrong.
I really hope you can help me out. If you cant and you know of somebody in Edmonton that could translate this text for me I would be forever grateful. The text is: 'Maereo tul desidero, desiderio tui laeto ... or it could be the other way around. Desiderio tui laeto, Maereo tul desidero'
Thank you, and I hope you have a good weekend.
Regards,
V anessa Ramsay
