Ni hao,
my name is Sven and, as my plans of travelling to Beijing to participate in an intensive language course this month have fallen through, I am looking for a tutor to direct my learning for 2-4 hours Monday-Friday for the coming 3 or 4 weeks.
I have self-studied (on and off) for the last few years- have finished the VSL Certificate I by correspondenc e (following 'Colloquial Chinese 1' by Kan Qian) and spent 4 weeks on Hainan Dao (50% studying Mandarin in Haikou, 50% leisure time). As I work for an airline I travel to Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore quite regularly and can practice a few words here and there.
I knew a few hundred Hanzi and could express myself in a basic way, but I seem to have forgotten an awful lot :(
I would like my tutor to enhance my conversationa l skills, revise the 'colloquial ChineseI' book and then follow the outline of 'Colloquial Chinese II'. Also, I would love some assistance in reading/writi ng Hanzi.
I am totally flexible re the location, my place, tutor's place, cafe, park ... all sounds good to me.
As I would like to start as soon as possible (next Monday) your prompt reply would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I want to learn Thai because I frequent Thailand fairly often.
I have studied Beginners, Level 1 and 2 but feel that I need individual training to fill in the gaps and go over what I have already learnt.
I would then like to advance on this.
I need to advance on my pronounciatio n and listening skills.
I think that 2-3 hours is as far as my consentration can stratch with learning thai.
I am looking for a teacher that is patient and can teach constructivel y.

Hi - my son Gavin needs a tutor in Italian having changed schools. He has some French langauge background which I understand helps for Italian but I want a tutor to assist in this. I want to learn to speak German well enough to move to Germany at the end of the year and be able to get a job. At the moment I am a beginner having only lived there for a month previously. I need improvement in all areas. Depending on cost I would like to attend a group session 2-4 times a week. I like to learn in a group environment as I have gotten used to them at school.
