I am looking for Japanese lessons for both my husband and I. My husband is half Japanese and it was his first language but he has since forgotten how to speak it.
We are planning a trip to Japan in April and I know it would mean a lot to him if he could have a better understanding of the language. I would also like to at least know some basics so that I can speak to and understand his family.
I would like to do lessons at least once a week but since the trip is so close perhaps twice a week would be better.

I'm learning japanese by myself for maybe 2 years, it's my hobby. I love learning japanese but I need to have a teacher because I want to be able to properly read manga and I don't know enough kanji yet and grammar. I can be classified as advanced beginner. I want to go teach English in Japan one day. I want to practice my japanese at least 2 to 3 times a week. I have lived, studied, and worked in Japan for many years. My proficiency level in Japanese is advanced. I will be in Akita, Japan, for about a week in late May/early June 2010. I'm looking for a private tutor to work with me for ~2 hours each morning and 2 hours each afternoon. I would like to read from Yuki Guni by Kawabata Yasunari and Ningen no Jouken by Gomikawa Junpei.
Pl ease let me know if there is anyone in Akita, Japan, who could help me.
