I am learning arabic for personal interest, and maybe for work eventually. I took a class in Syria for only 3 weeks and would like to continue in Ottawa.

I want to learn Spanish so that I can speak with my girlfriend's family. They are Colombian - some speak English well, others hardly at all. I speak a very little bit of Spanish now, and can sometimes understand the the context of basic conversations . While my initial goal is to converse socially, I'd like to be proficient enough to someday do business (from Ottawa)in Spanish speaking countries.
I'm prepared to spend 5 to 10 hours a week working on the language.
I'd prefer Wendy Elena Ordonez as a teacher. I appreciate her qualification s and I was impressed with her profile. In particular she had positive reviews and spoke frequently of teaching the culture as well as the language. I want private and in-person lessons so my instructor must be Ottawa based.

After a recent trip abroad that brought me into contact with the German language and culture, I have become very interested in learning to speak at least the basics of German. I have no previous experience with this language other than this recent trip, but I am an enthusiastic and dedicated student, and love learning new things. I am wanting to learn Russian because I love languages, I want to learn all languages if I could but I wanted to learn one that does not resemble French, English whatsoever. So, I decided on Russian. I studied up on Russia, its culture, its people and the language, of course. I love it.
It is something very new to me, the alphabet, the cyrillic alphabet is all new, some same letters, some new ones but I love a challenge. Plus, I also have friends that speak Russian, Ukrainian and Polish, so those are my next steps. I'm in the midst of learning Polish and Portuguese too.
I am at a beginner-inte rmediate level. I know the alphabet, basic greetings, I know how to write the alphabet and a few words. I find it hard to write though. I have trouble with grammar, how to convert, when to change the ends of the words, how to change whether your're addressing a female or male. I would ideally like to have 2-3 lessons per week for 1.5 hours. I am dedicated to learning, and I want to devote my time to learning the language.
I would like a teacher who cares about the person they are tutoring. i want someone who wants to teach me, who wants to teach me to write and speak. I want to be fluent in Russian and I want for my teacher to want that for me too. I want someone who can commit and devote their time to teaching me. I would like to have 3 lessons per week, i know it's a lot, but that is what I want. If you are unable to make that, maybe you know of someone else who is available.
