I travelled extensively in Iran in 2010 and fell in love with the Persian language. It was at the Tomb of Hafez, while listening to a poetry recital. I would like to learn for pleasure and to be able to talk to my Iranian friends when I return there.
I'm a beginner, but I've had a lot of exposure to the language through music, and I know quite a lot of phrases. I can also read Persian Arabic script quite well. I'm a highly motivated learner.
M y main goal is to learn to have conversation, but also to understand the grammar and be able to write/type in Persian.
I would be interested in more than one lesson a week, each time for an hour or two. I'm looking for a teacher who is proficient in both the Farsi dialect and also in English, living in Seoul or Gyeonggi-do. My lessons would need to be in the mornings or after 9pm or at the weekend.

I am looking for a career in the field of international relations: specifically in the public service.
T o this end, I am learning other languages. I already have experience in Japanese, and wish to pick up proficiency in other languages.
I am most interested in languages that will set me apart from the pack, so to speak. While conversationa l language is of interest, my chief desire is to obtain reading skills, as these will be easier to practice when I travel abroad in the near future.
De pending on price, I am willing to partake in lessons for up to 3 hours a week. I would prefer a teacher that is a native speaker, and has prior experience teaching people of my ethnicity and age level.
I prefer lessons that are structured, and would like regular homework.

I would like to take Persian lessons in order to become conversationa lly proficient in Persian. My fiance was born in Iran and his family immigrated to the United States in the 1980s. I know a couple of phrases but am basically starting from scratch. With the right teacher, I anticipate taking weekly classes for at least the next four to five months.
