My nine year old daughter has quite an affinity for all things Japanese and has expressed a strong desire to learn Japanese for the past six months. Looking to find a teacher/tutor who will work with her either at home or on line. She is most definitely a beginner and we are looking for something that may be tailored for children learning a second language.
A teacher who has experience with children with a sense of humor would be wonderful. Looking at one lesson a week to start.

Hello, my name is Sarah. I'm in love with the Japanese culture and hope to someday visit/live there. But the problem is that no one takes me seriously when I say i want to learn Japanese. I've tried books and CD's but i'm having a hard time learning. I'm worried about if i need to pay money for this program but i'm willing to give it a shot.It's hard to find Japanese teachers in Wisconsin. Please help me!!! Arigato.

I decided to learn Japanese because I love the culture and wish to visit japan.Before i do visit japan i would need to learn it so i wont need to depend on other people to translate. I have been in love with Japanese culture ever since i can remember, I always heard stories of people in my family going to japan an just being so taken by the beautiful cities an gardens. Sadly they didn't know Japanese and it made it difficult for them to truly enjoy the culture. I am a beginner an hoping to learn enough to hold a conversation with people while in japan. Since this is something I truly setting as a goal I will spend 3 hours on my studies an more if given homework or study material to take home. I am looking for a teacher who is friendly and makes their lessons fun.
