I am currently on a year long rotary sponsered exchange in the Czech Republic. I will be returning to Canada in June and attending the University of Alberta. U of A offers no courses in Czech language. I am at an intermidiate level. I would like to find a tutor that can help explain Czech grammer and also someone to practice conversations with. I want to perfect my Czech so that after university I can possibly return to the CR and work. I would like a teacher who is easy going and flexible. I would be willing to have lessons once a week and study on my own time.

I'm trying to find a class to take Czech language lessons. My husband's family is from the Czech Republic, and we're having our first child in January. While I can speak a few very basic words and phrases to communicate with them, I'd like to learn as much as I can in order to participate in teaching our child both languages. I'm willing to dedicate a fair amount of time to it, as I learn fairly quickly and want to know as much as possible by the time our baby comes along. As such, I'm looking more for a serious and challenging teacher who will push me to absorb a lot quickly.

- Beginner level (we need to learn the very basics: counting, greetings, directions, etc.)
- My friend is of Czech decent and my boyfriend is Czech. We want to learn some Czech to communicate with relatives and while traveling.
- A two hour lesson once per week for the two of us would be great!
- A nice, fun teacher which great knowledge of Czech and good teaching skills is what we're looking for.

I am a beginner with very little Czech backround. I am married to a Czech (who speaks fluently), but feel silly asking him to teach me. I would love to be able to converse with my inlaws and my husband's family in their native tongue. Grammar knowledge would be an asset too. I would be able to attend one class per week as I have two small children at home.
I am looking for an energetic, patient teacher who enjoys their job.
Even though I live outside of the greater Toronto area, I am willing to travel to the city for my lessons.
