I am learning Italian because I like the challenge of learning a new language and my husband and I travel to Italy frequently. I have taken Italian language classes in Italy several times and have also had a tutor work with me in Victoria. I consider myself to be at an intermediate level. The area in which I feel I need the most improvement is conversation. I was hoping to work with a tutor twice a week (2 x 1.5 hours/week). It is important to me that the instructor be a fluent, natural speaker of the language.

I am a complete beginner with no knowledge of the Finnish language. I have many relatives there, and will be visiting a year from now and perhaps more in the future. I have been studying Italian for 18 months with a teacher through Skype. Unfortunately for me, but fortunately for her she is not very available for at least the next three months. To be honest, I will be taking lessons with her once a week,if possible, but I have to say that it's not enough. I am searching for a teacher for 1 lesson per week in addition to the lessons I will have with my original teacher. My focus is on conversation but obviously there will be grammatical elements that I need help with.
I love this language and I am in need of someone with the same enthusiasm.

I would like to learn sign language both as a skill and for my work. As a physician, I enjoy working and expressing with my hands and think I would be an apt student. I have no prior knowledge of sign language so would start from scratch. I have quite a bit of time to devote to this in the near future. I need a teacher who is patient and has a good sense of humour.
