I wish to start at the beginning. I have had a few lessons in Italian but it was some time ago.
The reason I wish to learn - I love Italy, I love the people and I love the sound of the language. One day, I hope to go back there and would be thrilled if I could make myself understood and even better, understand the response!
I need a great deal of improvement with conversation. I tend to be able to work well with written because I have time to focus on it but conversation moves too fast for me.
I am a flight attendant and often away, I would like to at least be able to dedicate once a week to lessons however the days will vary. My roster is printed a month in advance so I can plan ahead.
Quali ties in a teacher - I get flustered easily when not understood so revert straight to English, I wish to have someone who will push me to keep speaking in Italian but very patient so I don't get flustered again. And fun, Italy is fun, Italian lessons should be fun.

Not for me; I'm looking on behalf of my employers.
They're looking for a Mandarin tutor for their three children (5, 7 & 9 yrs) - acquisition of the language may prove to be a useful skill for their futures.
They are native English speakers so I am after a tutor who will teach from the basics of basics and focus on the speaking aspect (writing, not so much).
They are looking for someone organised enough to devise a goal-oriented , term-based lessons plan; but more importantly focus on engaging the children and making lessons fun.
Experienc e with children is an advantage. If not, an all-round pleasant demeanour speaks volumes.
As a group, one or two separate hours a week is preferred, but can be negotiated.

I am planning to go to Tanzania this coming August after my last visit in 1984, and would like to learn Swahili again. I learnt only a little by myself about 25 years ago, but can't speak or understand almost at all now. I would like to know how the class in organised, how many times per week, how much tuition, where about is the class, etc.
