High School I want to learn Japanese as it has always been a goal of mine. I am Japanese myself, but have no ties to my heritage. I currently know nothing of the Japanese language. I would be willing to dedicate an hour or two after high school lets out. I would like a teacher who is very interactive with their students.

I am currently learning Japanese because I enjoy the culture and the language, although that is not the main reason I want to further advance my skills in Japanese. I am now attending College of Southern Nevada getting my associates in Business and international languages. In high school I took three years of Japanese, and in college I have only taken one semester. I would consider my language proficiency level an intermediate level. I do feel that I need more improvement in conversation and also feel that I need to learn more advanced writing skills.
I would like to dedicate at least two to four hours a day or every other day for the language lessons. And the qualities I would like to see in my teacher is patience, and not being rude.

I would like to go to college in Ireland, but many of the colleges require that you can speak and understand Gaelic. Since I live in a region where there are no Irish classes, I am trying to find other ways to learn the language.
