I am married to a Latvian and am currently living in Riga Latvia.
I really want to learn latvian to be able to interact with family and friends and not just sit in the corner smiling and having no idea what everyone is saying :)
I have been teaching myself through the use of software and everyday life but do not have the progress in speaking latvian i would of liked and really need to learn via a teacher.
I need improvement in everything really, from basics to sentences and grammar.
I would like to have 1 - 3 sessions per week or anything really as it will help immensely.
I am very easy going and have a good sense of humour so would ideally would like to learn in an easy going and fun environment

Hi,
I am a Norwegian man starting up a company in Riga and hence need to learn basic Latvian.
I would first like to start learning conversation, and if things progress well I would then like to learn some grammar as well.
I should at least have 2 sessions per week (evenings or weekends), with a mix of live sessions and videoconferen ces.

I have just moved to Riga, and am interested in learning the local language.
I am in Riga for business and for a personal relationship. I have been trying to learn from books etc, so I have a rudimentary beginning experience - but not real skills in the language and a limited vocabulary of maybe 100 words or so.
I am looking for small group lessons, or 1-1 training as a beginner.
While my pronunciation is not good, I am not as troubled with the phonetics as I am by the grammar and concepts.
