I think Gaelic is a beautiful language and hope to not only become fluent but also teach it to my future children and possibly others. I am a beginner. I have been listening to lessons and gaelic radio stations for a couple months but need someone to practice having conversations with. Hello,
My name is Greg and I am very interested in learning Scottish Gaelic. There are a few reasons I want to learn Gaelic, mostly aesthetic. I want to learn Gaelic because of its inherent beauty, as well as to connect with the culture of my ancestors. I also want to be able to learn Gaelic as a way of preserving a language that is dying out. I only know a few basic words and phrases like Ciamara tha sibh and stuff like that. I am willing to dedicate as much time as I possibly can to learning Gaelic. I have already learned Spanish, so I am familiar with the amount of effort it takes to become proficient in another language, and I am up for the task. My heart is set on learning this language, so I will do what it takes to learn it.
