Hi This is Amy vanSchagen I am an American and I have been in Holland for the past three years because my husband playes hockey here for Tilburg. I really want to go to cosmotology school but I have one problem I do not understand the Dutch language.I looked for coarses in English but there isnt any. I understand alot of words but I have no clue how to follow a conversation. I am willing to dedicate as much time as needed to master this language. I am looking for a nice teacher that can really help me learn Dutch,and I need to learn pretty fast if I ever want to start school here!

I have been living in the Netherlands for 7 months now and feel now is the right time to start learning the language. My wife works for an International company and I am a house husband, but I would like to get back to work but feel the lack of Dutch knowledge is a big drawback. We are having difficlty with letters we receive from banks, schools, service providers etc.etc.
I would like a teacher who could come to my house and teach us face to face and has a good knoledge of the English Language. Like I said I want to learn as soon as possible so I dont know what sort of timetable would be required.
