I am very interested in learning Greek so that I am able to speak at a fluent level. I am half Greek myself, so I wish to learn the language so that I can really feel 'Greek' so as to speak.
I have family out in Greece and go to visit every year. I have undertaken some basic learning from my sibling who lives in Greece, and am able to pick up the language reasonably well while I am holidaying there. I am already able to read Greek, and write a little. My level of Greek is past the beginners stage, however, I really want to develop it so that I am Fluent.
I feel that if I improve in my speaking, then my writing will improve also.
I am a University student, however, am on Summer holidays until September. I ideally would like to spend at least 3-4 hours a week learning Greek, depending on prices!
I am looking for a professional yet friendly teacher that is fluent in both Greek and English. I do not mind travelling a bit in order to meet them.

I want to learn Greek because I think that it would be an interesting experience, and I hope to go to Greece one day. Being able to speak Greek would be very useful and hopefully enjoyable as well. Right now I only know the Alphabet and generally need a full lesson in the language.
In a teacher, I need someone who is patient and has little problems comparing Greek to English and relating things to the culture of Greece. Also, I would need someone who can make lessons fun and interesting, but who also pushes me to do my best and tests my abilities.

I am Brazilian and I live in Brazil. I'm beginning student of Greek.
I will be visiting Mount Athos, the Holy Mountain of Greece, between 18th and 21st of July. After the visit, I intend to improve the Greek doing a course in Thessalonica, in a short course (one week, between 24 and 29 July).
I need to improve conversation, specially.
I will stay in a Hotel in Thessaloniki from 16 July to 30 July.
I love and respect a lot the greek language em culture. I'm student of Christian Meditation from the Monks of Mount Athos.
