I was raised English first and Chinese (Mandarin) second, but it's been so many years that I'm pretty much a beginner. I wish to learn the language for several reasons (planned trip to China, refresh my knowledge), but also get in touch with my own culture not only communication and language wise, but in general learning the language will help get me more in tune with the Chinese culture. I would most likely start one-two times a week an hour each and go from there until I am comfortable mostly with speaking. Hopefully my teacher/tutor will be able to help me learn to communicate and speak the language as well as discuss cultural aspects of China, etc.

I am a beginner student attempting to learn the Italian language at the community college that I am currently attending. This will alow me to open the window of opportunity to continue college at a university level. I am having problems in almost all aspects of the language. I do want to become semi-proficie nt in the language and I want to dedicate my time at least 2-3 times per week with a tutor 1-2 hours at a time. I am looking for a teacher who has structure. This will help me stay on focus with the subject matter rather than being clueless. I will also need a tutor as soon as possible, test date is 28 September.
