I am looking for a linguistic stay, in summer (3 weeks in August, I think)in the Wiltshire. I would appreciate a school quite small, with only adults. I've been studying English at University for more than 4 years, now.
Anyway, the main reason is pleasure. I appreciate to have talks in English, to discover the country, and to improve my English like that. I usually enjoy language schools, but what I want to avoid at any cost is a teacher who would say 'I teach, you listen'. Actually I need to practice, and I enjoy it, I like English, what's wrong with that? Please, help me find a nice little school, I'm looking forward to preparing my next stay in this lovely country.

My proficiency level is barely beyond that of a beginner.
I need to be able to communicate with doctors, dentists, barbers, neighbors, friends, etc. and I suppose that means I need near-grammati cally-correct conversation skills.
Initially I would like 1-2 weeks of 'intensive' lessons in a small group of 2-3 persons and then follow that with periodic lessons when I feel my communication skills need to be honed.
I have had lessons 1-on-1 and in a group with 6-7 persons. They were not successful venues for me. I have found the Michel Thomas method with little emphasis on grammar and gradual introduction of words into sentences with ample repetition to be more helpful.
