I'm a foreign teacher in Taichung City. I've recently started taking Mandarin lessons at the local University and am looking for a private tutor during the weekend or early afternoons (1-3pm)on weekdays. I am at the beginner, although I can speak a little. I need improvement in conversation and vocabulary. Maybe a little help with characters. I am already familiar with Bopomofo but not Pinyin.

I have just recently decided to begin language study in Tibetan, as I have a general fascination with languages, and I also intend to visit Tibet, Bhutan and Nepal sometime next year. Although I am a complete beginner, I am a quick learner. In addition, I am also desperately trying to find a means by which to hold on to the Polish that I acquired from my 3-week summer course in Krakow. Is there anyone here in Taiwan that can help this poor polyglot out? Will travel if necessary.

Dear Arabic teachers,
I am looking for an Arabic teacher in Taipei city, Taiwan, ideally for 1-2 hours per week.
I feel that in the current political climate Arabic is a very important language to learn. I also aim to pursue a career in human rights, and need another language.
I am a complete beginner (I had about 6 hours of lessons before leaving the UK), but am a fast learner, and hope to learn both conversationa l and written Arabic.
Wi ll discuss pay with prospective teacher, as I'm not sure what is expected, but basically, I'm desperate to learn Arabic, and am willing to pay.
