Hi, I am a beginner in the Czech language. I've just married into a Czech family and my husband and I are trying to start a family. I would like to learn Czech to be able to teach and learn with our children as a second language. The areas in which I need help in are grammar and conversation. I'm willing to spend two day/ evenings a week to learn. The qualities I am looking for in a teacher would be patience and understanding . I do not speak any other languages other then English. I've learned quite a few words in Czech from my husband and inlaws but am realizing this language is very difficult. I hope there is someone out there that can help me.

i AM A BEGINNER but have knowledge of a few words and some basic grammar. I would like to learn Czech beacuse my fiancee is czech and we would like to bring our daughter up to speak it as well as english. I would like to spend 1-2 hours a weeek on evening study as I work full time. I need a teacher who is patient and learning the language should be based on conversation.

My Mom and her family is from the Czech Republic, she came to Canada when she was 16 and has lost the language to the point where she can communicate with her family, but is not in the position to teach me. I love the language and would love to learn to speak and understand. I am 25 years old, I have a busy career of owning a print shop, so this is a side project. I know very little, there are a few words that I do know but to write to my Dedo and Strada Karel or talk to them over the phone and actually have them understand me in their native tounge... that would be great. Something I have wanted to do for a long time.

I am a total beginner and wish to visit a friend in Czech Rep in next 12 months. There is a chance I will also work there for a time.
