I have just finished a University Degree in Politics and will be doing an MA course in Politics starting in September. I am hoping to find someone who can help me create a solid base on which to build me knowledge of Arabic by the time I leave to start my MA course at the end of the summer.
I took a number of lessons at University from February to April this year, however due to my finals I had to sacrifice my learning.
I wish to learn Arabic as the Middle East has been a focus of my Politics degree and I am fasinated by the culture and the history of the region.

I speak Spanish, English and French, but want to learn Arabic. I have never taken any classes in Arabic, but I'm really good at learning quick. I am most interested in learning to speak the language. I am a graduate student in international relations. I have taken two years of Chinese (Mandarin) at the undergraduate level but I have not been in formal language training for over 2 1/2 years. My skills, I'm afraid, are at the beginner level again. I want to take lessons in person and/or online in both Chinese and Arabic. I need focused lessons and structure. I want to find a teacher (s) who would be able to work with me over the next 6 months to one year and would help me become proficient in the language. I am a good student and will work diligently to achieve this. I would like to have a set time or times each week to meet with my instructor. I am looking for an instructor who will work with me and guide me so that I can speak, read and write the language. My reasons for learning another language are:language proficiency test for graduate school, career advancement, possible internship and/or teaching English in area of language, as well as a deep and profound love of learning about another culture.
