I currently work for an international NGO assisting refugees in Malaysia. Prior to this I have traveled and undertaken voluntary work in the Middle East. I have really enjoyed my time spent in the region and have always found the people I've met there to be very welcoming and hospitable. I plan to visit the region again for a holiday next year and and would like my next job to be based in the region. For these reasons would like to study Arabic. I have been based in SE Asia for the last two years but am from London. Before leaving London, I took a beginners Arabic class for around six months, but as I have not used this for the last two years I have forgotten most of it and so would like to start again at beginners level. I am looking for an experienced teacher of Modern Standard Arabic, preferably a native speaker. I would be interested in one to one tuition and also in joining any existing beginners classes. I am only available for classes on evenings and weekends but am happy to negotiate mutually convenient times to meet within these constraints with a tutor. I am looking for a tutor who is friendly, flexible and creative in their teaching techniques.
