I wish to learn to speak Thai from a teacher who is patient and has experience in teaching beginners. Areas I would like to concentrate on are conversationa l Thai, basic grammar and basic reading and writing. I was born in Thailand and adopted at a young age. As such, I have never learnt to speak my native language. I would like to be able to communicate with my birth family. I would like to have one to two lessons per week.

I'm a near Complete beginner. My current partner is Thai and has taught me numbers up to the 1000's - although my tone will probably need a lot of work.
I would prefer lessons once or twice a week. I'm currently without a car, so times and locations that are public transport friendly would be a bonus. I work in the CBD and live near Balmain.
I had considdered taking a course through the local community college, but decided that it would be difficult to get to.
I've had difficulty learning other languages in the past, so I'm looking for a patient instructor who is able to adapt the pace to my needs.

I am a 22 year old in Brisbane wishing to learn Thai. I am half Thai/half Australian, and am intermediate in conversationa l Thai, and have good comprehension of the language. However, I would like to learn Thai at a more structural level. This is ideal as I can practise and speak Thai at home too. I have a friend wishing to learn the language too, and she has taught English in Thailand for a year. I would like to start with at least 1-2 hours per week (the two of us)
