I would like to learn portuguese as I need to communicate in my personal life in the language. I am a beginner. I particularly like to learn conversation, pronunciation and a grammar too. I would like to learn the language in about a year. I can dedicate an hour each day and about 2 hours each on Saturday and Sunday. My instructor should be very well versed in proper pronunciation . He or she should also know English to make me understand, be fluent with portuguese slang and conversationa l Portuguese.

I'm an avid lover of French cinema. And I believe knowledge of that language shall help me grasp the minute artistic nuances in the movies, which more often than not, are lost in translation. I'm a beginner. I would ideally like to devote time on weekends for learning French. Teacher should be a teacher. One who's not merely a guide but a philosopher, one who can motivate and inspire to learn beyond the obvious and teh available.
