Hi,
as I have just moved to the UAE, I would like to learn arabic to use in conversation.
I am a beginner and would like to start by being able to use basic communication (greetings,.. ..).
My goal would be to understand and also correspond in everyday situations (shopping, taxis,...). Also it would be great if I could eventually take arabic phone calls.
I would like to learn the alphabet and numbers but it would not be necessary to be able to write myself.
I am looking for evening lessons (approx. 19.00 hrs.) or if possible on a thursday afternoon or even a friday. Fridays would be ideal as I am off. I live in Al Barsha and work in Media City so it would be helpful, if the lessons could take place somewhere in that area, but not at my home.
I would like to take lessons once or twice a week, maybe 1.5 hrs. each? I am looking for a flexible teacher who I can set up timings with according to my work schedule.

Intermediate level Arabic. I have solid foundation. I enjoy the language very much. I need to work on my conversation and listening skills. I would like to dedicate 1-2 hour daily. I am interested in learning Arabic with the intention of pursuing a career as a translator/in terpreter, for either a government agency or private corparations. I feel that i am at a begginers level at this time. I need help in developing sentences and expanding my vocabulary as well as grammar. I am flexible as far as study times are concerned and wish to devote at least 25 hours a week to language study. My instructor must be well versed in english grammar and understand the structure of the english language to be able to instruct me in learning arabic. Must be a native speaker or have a great deal of experience in langugae instruction. Study times must be focused primarily on me (the student) answering phone calls and attending other business will impede the learning process.
