I am of Norwegian heritage and would like to learn the language. I have no knowledge of the language at this time. I have studied French in high school and college and am somwhat familiar with what is involved in learning a new language. I would like to attend class once a week. I don't have any particular preferences in terms of instructors.

I have been living in Malaysia for the last year and am engaged to marry an Indian (Tamil speaking) man from there, so would like to begin to learn to speak and understand basic Tamil. I have heard Tamil spoken much, but I understand only a very little and speak almost none. I wish to spend one to two hours per week studying, especially spoken language. Ideally I would like to be able to meet and study with a tutor in person, but I would also consider long distance, phone, email or video conferencing options.
