My name is Bella, I have been learning Mandarin Chinese for about a year with a private teacher, who recently left Malaysia. I am able to carry on a simple conversation, but still have difficulty with the tones. I would consider myself an advanced beginner. I don not read the characters, only use pinyin. I am looking for a native speaker who would be willing to give myself and my 9-year old son private lessons once or twice a week. My son has been taking Mandarin at school as well as privately. Dear Sir/Madam,
I'm a graduate who recently have completed my advanced diploma in accounting. I'm currently pursuing ACCA, a professional qualification for accounting. Being a full time student now, I find myself having extra time to learn and improve myself, which is why I wish to learn an additional language. I find this language interesting and useful, as Germany is a well-develope d country with plenty of opportunity.
I have no exposure to this language before, and hope to develop up to a level where I'm able to hold a simple conversation, and also understand day-to-day interaction.
I'm not familiar with the usual length of this lesson, but I'm ready to dedicate 6 months' time to learn a basic, simple yet fluent language, as this will be the period for me to complete my ACCA program. A 2-4 hour class a week is what I deemed to be appropriate, but I would like to listen to the tutor's advice on this.
I'm a Malaysian Chinese, and able to speak English, Chinese and Malay at a decent level. Preferably a Chinese tutor would be an advantage to me, as Mandarin is my mother tongue and my most spoken language.
I hope to have a comfortable lesson with the tutor where I can ask questions freely. Therefore, I would expect my tutor to be patient and dedicated in teaching me.
