I am just beginning german and so far know some of the basics and several phrases and questions, as well as counting to ten. However I would love to be able to speak fluent high german and need help.
I am learning german because I am very interested in german culture and am considering working in Germany. It would also bridge a language-barr ier between me and certain members of my family.
I would like to dedicate at least one hour every week to working with a tutor.
I am looking for a tutor who can speak 'high' german fluently and can help me read, write and speak german fluently.

I qualify as a beginner to the German language, my family is german and they have spoken it around me for the last 25 years, however I did not pick very much of it up. It is familiar to me and I understand some phrases and sentances, however I will be sent to Germany next year with my company and I need to speak proficiently focussed around the financial, real estate, investing sector (securities).
I am looking for a private tutor twice a week in 1 - 2 hour sessions, and I would like my tutor to facilitate a very high learning curve, possibly have experience in the securities industry or be familiar with the terminology.
I am looking to start immediately, and prefer a male, typically more experienced in the financial industry.
I want to thoroughly learn the verbs, adjectives, etc reading german is very important, I will be reviewing legal contracts, as well as some casual, conversationa l german.

I was born in Canada and was first introduced to German at University (1990-1995). I also spent 1 year in Germany 1993-94 during which time I took evening classes and enrolled in a 3 month language course. I was completely immersed in the culture during that year. I even attended a University level History course.
In 1995 my German language skills were very strong, both in grammar and vocabulary. Since 1995 I have visited Germany several times but my language abilities have greatly declined through disuse. I plan eventually to move back to Germany, and need to improve my language skills in preparation for that.
I would prefer to be part of a small course (2-3 people), taught by a native speaker.
