I am an older English teacher who has just arrived in Masan from Canada to teach at 2 elementary schools for one year. I have studied the Hangeul system and numbers, but I would like to learn the grammar and some sentence structures in order to converse properly with the people around me. I work Monday-Friday , 0830 to 1630. after that, my time is open. I don't understand Korean at all, but I am very motivated and would like to learn as quickly as possible. Because I am in a Korean immersion situation here, I think I would get a lot of reinforcement from my students and colleagues for any efforts I make in the language. I have a Berlitz Korean/Englis h dictionary, a level one Korean grammar text, and a thin book of survival Korean sentences for tourists.
I am looking for a teacher who can offer me a systematic approach to learning the grammar, so that I build up the language from simple to complex and soon create sentences useful in every day conversations . I also need practice in reading Hanguel, developing a vocabulary, and insights into the culture and history of this very interesting country. I am a serious learner, and I am willing to dedicate whatever time it takes to accomplish my goals. If there is anyone in Masan willing to take me on, I would be grateful. Thanks.

I have lived in Koread for 15 months and learned to read korean and speak a decent amount. I can get around, order food, and meet people in Korean but I am not good with sentence structure- or atleast speaking it. I still study all the time to build my vocabulary, but I need private lessons. Just socializing with Korean friends isn't cutting it.
