I am a beginner and i am wanting to learn the language as a surprise for my boyfriend he speaks Russian fluently and we are visiting his parents in Kazakhstan this summer. I want to learn Russian on a conversationa l level and I can give the amount of time needed to get to the place of holding a conversion with other native speakers. I am looking for a teacher who is a native speaker themselves and can teach me the language without focusing on the writing or reading.

Beginner, I have the Pimsleur level one program but i am only on lesson 12 of 30 lessons.
I am just learning for the sake of learning. I don't even know why I chose the Russian language. It was just on a whim.
I would like help in learning basic conversationa l Russian. I have already spent some time learning phrases, a few numbers, and a little of the Cyrillic Alphabet.
I would like to spend a few hours a week on learning.
qu alities I am looking for in an instructor are proficiency in both English and Russian. And someone who is good at conveying information and explaining the finer points of the learning process. This person should also have at least some patience.
