I am a retired army officer resident in Gordonvale Qld. I wish to learn Hindi by one-on-one conversation and coaching by a tutor. I am able to speak Gurkhali (Nepali). I am interested in learning Sanskrit as I go. Priorities are speech communication then written communication and then to be better informed therough the study of history and literature. This will take 10-12 years. I am already nearly 80 uears of age so there is some urgency to get started. My pockets jingle with silver only to the extent that my meagre pension is deposited thereto.

I am a beginner. I know a few words of greeting and most of the alphabet.
I am planning on going to Russia in September to vist a woman. Her English is poor and I don't speak Russian so we have a lot of trouble.
I really want to learn convesational Russian so we can talk a little bit.
If I am going to learn much by September it will take some time and effort. I tink I would need a couple of lesson a week.
