beginner, I want to learn Arabic because it will become easier for me to translate ayahs from the quran. Areas which i need improvement in are grammar, conversation, sentence structure, writing, reading. I want to dedicate 1 hour to arabic lessons because school is almost starting i don't have that much time. The qualities i am looking in a teacher is that he/she has to be qualified, fluent in the language, writing, reading, skilled.

I have attended 3 weeks in the summer programme at the University of Chicao, Chicago.
I want to learn the language for conversation, but more importantly to understand the meaning of the prayers that I pray everyday,
Si nce I am semi retired, I can devote more time to to the study of the language.
Th e main quality I am looking for in a teacher is his ability to communicate effectively with the student and his patience and determination to make sure that the student is progressing in his quest to learn the language.
