Hello, my name is David and I am interested in learning Russian. This summer, I am going to spend five weeks as a missionary to the city of Berdyansk in the Ukraine. I know very few words in Russian and I am currently learning from a computer program. As I am a teacher, I understand the benefits of leaning in small group sessions. Initially, I would like to learn survival or conversationa l Russian so I will be able to communicate with the local towns people. Next year I hope to return to the Ukraine as a full time missionary and increase my knowledge of the language.
I currently teach 2nd grade. I am only available for classes after 4:00 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. I am also available on Saturday and Sunday. I would like to dedicate one or two nights a week to my studies.

I am a beginner with almost no understanding of the russian language. I would like to learn russian beacause I am very interested in the language, the culture, and the people of Russia. I also look forward to traveling in Russia in the future and it would be nice to be able to communicate with the people there. I also have a Russian girlfriend and a few Russian friends as well who I would like to carry on conversations with in their native language.
