I can speak Russian at the level of a nine-year-old , basically. That's when I stopped going to a Russian school, and moved to Canada. I don't want to forget my native language, and would like to improve it. I need to improve my grammar in Russian, as well as conversation, and vocabulary.
I also want to learn Latvian. I was born in Latvia, and lived there until I moved to Canada, and I used to speak it fairly well. But once I moved here, I forgot it entirely. I can still read it, but can't understand anything. I want to learn Latvian, so that when I finally get to go back to visit, I can feel at home, and not like a tourist.
I want to learn the languages online, and I have free time from Tuesday to Thursday, after five thirty, until six thirdy, sometimes seven.
I would love it if the teacher had a sense of humour, and explained the lesson well.

Hi, looking to find someone to help me learn russian in a casual, friendly atmosphere. I have tried to sign up at a local college but the class was canceled. I have tried to learn on my own also but I am afraid that my pronunciation is wrong. I am a beginner with very little experience. I am looking to learn Russian for enrichment only, I love all language, learning from someone who shares this passion would be a wonderful experience! I'm not sure what to expect for prices or meetings or anything. Infomation at this point would be great!!!

My name is Amanda and I am interested in learning to speak Russian, so I of course would have to start at the beginning stage. I want to learn Russian, because I absoultely love to learn languages. I can speak Spanish, Arabic, and German. I will admit that my German has gone bad lately since I have no one to speak with but I plan to re-learn it. I will start school in the spring semester so I dont exactly know my school schedule, but I would like to know what schedules you offer. Since you are a native of Russia, I am gladly willing to have you teach me.

Prof iciency Level - Intermmediate
Improvemen t is needed mostly in writing and conversation, most likely with more focus on writing (I'm simply better at speaking!)
Teacher preferences: motivated, CANNOT be timid or shy, asks many questions and performs drills until perfection.
I learn and work best in environments where I have to perform. Giving me writing assignments or having me fill out endless workbooks is not my ideal style.
