I am interested to learn the Tamil language to be able to converse and communicate easily with my husband's extended family, who are originally from Chennai, India. I have no basics in the language, at all. Over the year, I've been trying to see if I can grasp the language by listening to their daily conversation but to be frank, I have been unable to differentiate the sounds of one word from the other. I'm free during the weekends and also perhaps one evening during the week. I'm looking for a tutor who will be able to teach me the basics and the conversationa l skills of the language.

I am a beginner but i do know a few words.I am learning chinese as it will be an advantage to me in the future-based on career.I will only need to know how to communicate well.So the conversation part is already sufficient enough.I will prefer 5 hours a week. I really hope the teacher is able to communicate well in Bahasa Malaysia or English in order to ease the communication with the teacher.
