I am a beginner. I have learnt a little in Japanses in primary school but am very interested in learning Chinese. I would like to learn Chinese as have extended family who speak Chinese. I would also like to persue a career in tourisim in the future. I ahve absolutley not expirence in learning Chinese. I would like frequent lessons each week. Mandarin - basic speaking and listening. Studied with private tutor for three months, before spending 3 months in Taiwan on staff exchange. Also studied one term at Sun Yat Sen University, Kaohsiung Taiwan. Keen to maintain basic language skills for career purposes - 1 lesson per week to particularly improve reading and writing. It would be great if your language skills covered by Mandarin and Taiwanese.
Spanish - no current knowledge but want to achieve basic conversation, reading and writing by November 2006 (1 class per week).

Hi I am a beginner wanting to learn Mandarin, as my wifes family has Chinese Heritage, and I would wish to be able to converse in an everyday situation.
B asic Mandarin is all i am after, being able to understand and reply comfortably, is what i hope to attain through the course.
My time schedule is flexible, what i am sure of is that whatever time i have will be used efficiently, in saying that i will put aside time throughout the day/week to ensure work is completed.
