I have been interested in really learning Korean for about a year or more now. I have read some books and learned the Korean letters. I have learned how to pronounce korean words, etc. I just need further help learning it correctly. Books can only take you so far when learning a language. I would like to have somebody in the Dallas area that i could learn from. My reason for learning is for personal enrichment. And i hope one day i could go to Korean and use what i have learned.

I am a 28 year old Englishman. I will be living in Sydney from the beginning of July 2004 for at least twelve months. I wish to learn Korean with particular emphasis on speaking and listenning. I am a beginner and would ideally like two or three one and a half hour lessons a week (outside regular working hours - i'm flexible as to times/days) with homework to be completed between lessons. I'm very serious about learning Korean : to enhance my career and to be able to communuicate with my fiance's family effectively. I would particularly like my teacher to follow a course book such as the Seoul University Language Course or similar to enable me to monitor my progress and to self-study between lessons.
