I am travelling to Norway in May 2005 and would like to learn some basic Norwegian. I am of Norwegian background, but do not speak the language. I am willing to put in approximately 3 hours a session, one night a week for as many weeks as needed. I Would prefer a teacher of Norwegina background who is fluent with the language.

Hello, My name is Gisa Sainz. I have a passion for learning languages but never really thought I'd be learning Norwegian. After meeting a few Norwegians on my trip to Thailand three years ago, I became very interested in the language. I returned to Canada and signed up for an on-line course and learned a bit of the language. I then traveled to Norway to visit my friend where I ended up staying for about three months and learned some more. My boyfriend at the time was from Norway and we decided to come to Canada, but when we arrived we'd only speak English so I lost focus on my norwegian. Now that he's not in Canada anymore, I really have no way to practice. My knowledge is oneof a begginer and I would love to keep learning more and also practice it often. I love Norway and plan on going back at one point in my life, I believe that keeping my interest in the language alive will motivate me to go back to Norway.
