I am wanting to learn Afrikaans as I have an Afrikaans boyfriend and I would like to be able to understand his family and friends, and also speak myself. I am currently a beginner in the language. Beginner, have been travelling to South Africa for a few years now. Wife and I have purchased a house in North West Province with the plan to eventually live there, and would like to be able to communicate effectively in Afrikaans. I am a South Australian police officer currently stationed in Burra, about 100km's north of Adelaide, but would be will to travel for live lessons with tutor.

Hi, My name is Jacob and i was born and raised in Australia, however i have fallen in love with a South African girl, and over time grown strong, who speaks both Afrikaans and good English. Few weeks ago i decided to propose to her and im wanting to secretly learn Afrikaans for her as a gift, so when i go back to South Africa where her family is, i can communicate with them and understand them better.
I currently live on the Gold Coast and am looking for a friendly, patient (lol) tutor who will help me understand and pronounce words, as my goal would be to learn if fluently.
