My fiancee and I are wanting to learn how to speak Fijian. My fiancee is fijian and can understand the language but can not speak it fluently where as I can only understand basic words ie go, don't, hello, goodbye, thankyou etc. We want to learn the Nadi dialect as his family is from Nadi.
We don't have a great deal of time as we both work full time but I should be able to make it 2 times a week give or take.
I would like to learn the language so I can atleast understand what his family is saying when we go to see them but my long time goal would be able to teach my kids the language.

I really want to learn the Fijian native language . I have a boyfriend I see every couple of months in Fiji. I am finding it would be easier if I spoke fijian the language barriers would not as bad. Hello
I am a beggining student who was never learned ant of the Figian language, but speak fluent English. Perhaps by learning this culture I can further explore the depths of the culrure of Figi. Any areas necassary to know is what i would need improvment on considering that i'm a begginner.Whe never i can possibly is when i would take serious concentration into learning this language (roughly evry other days or so). I seek a good teacher that can get me to the fluency level of this language or at least close to. My communication s that i can only contact by is by E-mail.

I've always wanted to learn Fijian, I really love their culture and possibly might move their oneday. I'm planning to join the Police force here in New Zealand and it really helps to have other languages, especially here where we have a large Pacific Island population. I'd also like to do missionary work around the Pacific Islands. Fiji would by far be my favourite language to learn. I'm baisically a complete beginner to the Fijian language, I'm looking for someone who can tech me conversationa l Fijian. I'm often quite busy so it would be preferable to learn via e-mail so they can be checked at both ends at suitable times.
