My name is Jenny and I am a 20 year old British student studying Mandarin in Beijing as part of my University degree.
I want to start learning Russian (I am a complete beginner)beca use I am interested in the culture and language of Russia. I intend to travel there in the future and would like at least a basic grasp of the language.
I am looking to have 4-5 hours of classes per week, preferably in a group with no more than 2 other students, or one on one.

I am planning to go to school in Kiev in September
I need help for basic conversation
I need to be able to have a conversation by September so I can dedicate as much time as you think I need
I would like to be able to read basic Russian and Ukrainian. I was told that most people speak Russian in Kiev but I am assuming that I will come across signs that are Ukrainian. I need help, cd's are good but it would be better to talk to a person instead of a cd. :)
