I'd like to learn Arabic, because I am interested in the Arabic culture and Islam (as a philosophy).
My way of learning languages is through the written word, which is the only way I can remember new words. That's why a conversationa l 'survival crash course' is not for me.
I'd need to start from the very beginning: the alphabet, reading simple books written for children etc and to work my way toward more complicated stuff.
My goal is to be able to READ Arabic; understanding spoken language would be my second priority.
I would be interested in taking a course in German, which I had been force-fed for 10 years in school. I do think that some of that stuff got stuck in my head, so I could probably pick it up with a minimal effort, or so I hope.

My name is Jasmin, I am 22 years old and studying architecture in Jerusalem. I am originally from Germany so when I was young we spoke German at home, but i don't really know/remember anymore how to speak although i do stil understand. i have been to a few german schools but they all tell me my only option is private lessons. i want to learn german simply because it is part of my heritage and it really frustrates me that i can't communicate in german anymore. i am looking for a teacher that will be able to meet me every week for at least three hours, maybe more depending on schedules

I learned the German language during my college years (7yrs) and I chose it as one of my main languages in HSC (A-Level), with french and english. I worked as a teacher in german language for beginners both in the private and public sector, than had an experience or 1 1/2 year in the tourism industry as a hotel representativ e. Since a couple of months, i'm employed as a chief editor in a private society. I need advanced courses to improve my grammar and develop the fluency in german. I am ready to spend as much time as possible for an intensive course and I am willing to start a license in the German language. I look forward to come accross a german native teacher, who masters well his subject and is able to get me to the highest level possible.
