I am an American Expat currently living in the Philippines. I am currently planning on living her for a few years and would like to gain a foundational vocabulary of Tagalog for basic conversations for social situations.. I want to learn how to speak tagalog fluently because it is my parent's native language and I would like to become a flight attendant in the future. I understand tagalog but I cannot speak it fluently or write in tagalog. I can dedicate a lot of time to the language lessons. And I just need someone who care properly teach me how to write and speak in tagalog.

I am a Masters student and will be doing research in areas that I will more comfortable if I know Tagalog. I will be a beginner - I have studied Spanish in the past. I would like to have class 5 hours per week. I would like my teacher to be patient, positive and knowledgable with teaching this language. I am currently attending the Univ of Washington and am also wondering if there is anyway to get the class accredited for college credit there.
