I am a beginner at everything except for english. I'm looking to learn different languages to open up the door to other career oppurtunities as well as my own self fufillment. I am a beginner, so I need hel in all aspects of the languages I take. I would like to have at least 2 lessons a week,if my work schedule permits. I am looking for a teacher who is patient but will also push me.

Although I've been around many Spanish speaking people (Puerto Ricans, Venezuelans, Dominicans) over the years, I've never been able to pick up the language merely by being around them and listening to conversations . I believe I learn in a more traditionsal, class setting, or face to face teaching. I am a Paralegal in the Superior Court of PA and I would use the Language for work as well as personal Social settings mostly for conversation. I can dedicate one or two nights per week after 5 or 6pm. I would hope the teacher is a patient, liberal, and progressive person. But even if she is a Republican Nun, as long as she can teach me Spanish, I'll deal with it.

Hello,
I am hoping to gain a broad strokes knowledge of Middle Eastern Languages. I am specifically interested in Farsi, but also have interest in Arabic.
This is hobby for me but will help during an eventual trip to the Middle East.
I am a beginner, so the teacher will have to be up to the challenge. I'm a very fast learner, just need a little patience.

I have taken French as an undergraduate and completed the intermediate level. However, currently my French language skills (grammar, reading, conversation) need lots of review and have been out of practice for the last few years.
I am a graduate student studying ethnomusicolo gy focusing on North African identities and music cultures in diaspora (i.e. in France). Thus I need help with French to be able to communicate with French speakers, read articles, books in this language for research, and translate song lyrics.
I am also interested in continuing with Arabic--I have completed first year Arabic-- and learning Berber.
