I recently got married to my wife who was born in Hong Kong. She is Canadian and doesn't really use her Cantonese any more, but her family all speak Cantonese and I would like to start learning the basics with a view to becoming more advanced over time.
I would like to be able to say some things to her family the next time i meet them in October.
I am fluent in French and Spanish, so have some capacity for languages. I appreciate that Cantonese will be completely different, but am looking forward to the challenge!
