Hi.
beginner!
I am interesting in learning turkish as a second language. i have been to turkey a few times now and me and some other friends are thinking about moving there next year. i want to be able to understand the language but also try to speak it. i have alot of friends over in turkey but they speak little english so they are unable to help me. i really would like to go to turkey and eventually teach english to people over there. my friend can understand greetings but i have no idea on having a conversation with someone.
i work alot of hours at work so i would like to only have about 2 hours a week if possible. my two friends are also interested in taking the lessons with me.
I am not really a confident person. when i was in college 2 years ago i learnt french. i understood words but when it came to having a full conversation i found it diffcult.

I am half Turkish but unfortunately can only understand and speak very,very little turkish.
I can read a Turkish newspaper but not very quickly.
I understand basic things like numbers, days of the week,basic conversation fillers like hello, welcome,goodb ye,how are you e.t.c
I would like to be able to have conversations with my family and my father in turkish and not have to rely on them to speak english all the time.
As i will be a student i can only really afford one lesson a week but don't mind being in a small group if this is a little more affordable.
I do have access to Turkish cable and newspapers at my mother and father's home if this will help me develop and can practice with my Father as he is the Turkish parent.
