Hi,
Looking for someone (a native Latvian speaker) from Hull to help me with conversationa l Latvian. My brother recently married a girl from Latvia and while at the wedding in Latvia I was unfortunately unable to speak with any of her family and relatives.
We are all planning a visit out next year and want to be able to at least speak basic conversationa l Latvian by then.

I have some Latvian friends and i would like to understand their conversations and join in. I am a complete beginner but think i could learn fairly quickly. I would prefer one-on-one tuition as this fits best with my learning style i think. I live in Leamington Spa so a tutor located in the West Midlands would be preferable. I would be prepared to try other types of tuition if the tutor was confident of success.

. I will be a beginner, I have manuals I have been reading to understand how the language works, and learned a few words when I spent a week in Riga but thats it. I do have Latvian friends I speak to online using a translator, but I would much rather learn it one on one.
. I wish to learn it so I can talk to my friends in Latvian and also use it when I visit Riga.
. I am a beginner so anything will help.
. Time - maybe once a week, or more if it is advised.
