Description |
I would love to learn Gealic in order for me to eventually be able to teach or support learning in gealic medium schools in Scotland. I am an extreme beginner and would love to one day be fluent in both written and spoken gealic. I would like to begin studying over the summer holidays, perhaps up to 3 sessions per week to give me a good start and would like to continue lessons once a week there after. Ideally I would like to learn from someone who has either grown up speaking the l;anguage or has studied it at a Scottich university, however if your knowledge in the language is strong not having these particular experiances would put me off. I would like an approachable, flexible friendly teacher who can support me through what will no doubt be a difficult task.

Description |
I am a Scott, origina lly from Dundee, though some of my ancestors were moved from the Highlands during the clearances.I would like to be able to converse and write fluently in gaelic, both to carry out historical family research and to help keep the language 'alive'. I am a teacher who works full time, so evening classes would be ideal, with one lesson each week, or perhaps each fortnight. I am an absolute beginner, and in addition to conversation, grammar and syntax I would love, if possible, to learn gaelic songs.I have my own transport so anywhere in the Manchester area would be suitable, though south Manchester would be a preferance.
